International Erosion Control Association seeks Environmental Excellence Awards nominations

The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) is calling for nominations for its 19th annual Awards of Environmental Excellence. The deadline to submit a nomination for awards presented at EC10 is Dec, 3, 2009.

This year’s awards program features two new award categories: Organization of the Year and Young Professional of the Year. IECA will also honor a Sustained Contributor and Industry Professional of the Year during its awards program at Environmental Connection 2010 (EC10) Feb. 16-20, 2010.

The Organization of the Year award will go to an outstanding organization that is involved with and supports the erosion and sediment control profession. IECA chartered Chapters in good standing or organizations with membership representation within IECA are eligible to receive this award. The Young Professional of the Year award will be presented to an IECA member less than 30 years of age that has demonstrated excellence in technical performance and can present work of the highest quality.

The Awards of Environmental Excellence program seeks to recognize persons, companies and organizations that exhibit an extraordinary dedication to the erosion and sediment control industry through contributions in education, leadership in a local community and IECA Chapter or involvement in government. Honorees may be nominated by a colleague or be self-nominated, and winners are selected by the IECA Awards Committee. The deadline to submit a nomination for awards presented at EC10 is Dec, 3, 2009.

Additional details on each award category and nomination forms may be found at IECA’s Website at https://www.ieca.org//conference/annual/awards.asp.
