Matt Kern, vice president of Rolling Stock Sales at General Equipment & Supplies.General Equipment & Supplies, based in Fargo, North Dakota, has joined the dealer network for Dynapac North America, a maker of equipment for compaction and paving applications.
General Equipment & Supplies will supply a full line of compaction and paving products in the North Dakota and Northern Minnesota markets, the companies say.

General Equipment & Supplies has more than 34 years in the business, specializing in the rental, service and fabrication of heavy equipment for the construction, mining, oil exploration and municipal industries.
The company has six U.S. locations including Fargo, Minot, Bismarck and Williston in North Dakota; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Shakopee, Minnesota. It also has two locations in Canada with Regina, Saskatchewan, and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
“With only a few months under our belt, we are excited with our early success, achieving over 80 percent rental utilization right out of the gate with our new soil compaction fleet,” Kern says.
General Equipment & Supplies was founded in 1984 by four former employees of General Diesel and Equipment. Their primary focus has been to supply heavy construction and aggregate equipment to the construction, mining, oil exploration and municipal governments in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. Starting with one location and 22 employees in 1984, General Equipment has grown to 250 employees.
The addition of Dynapac’s complete portfolio to the General Equipment & Supplies fleet complements the dealer’s growing portfolio which includes Komatsu , JCB, and Kobelco equipment.

With more than 200 dealer locations in North America, the addition of General Equipment & Supplies marks the second Komatsu dealer Dynapac has partnered with since the Fayat acquisition in October of 2017.
