2016 Ford F-150 MVP Edition

With the first pitch of Major League Baseball’s 2016 regular season Opening Day leaving the mound Sunday, Ford has launched a limited run of F-150 pickups to celebrate the Kansas City Royals’ 2015 World Series win.

The Royals clinched their second World Series title in November beating the New York Mets four games to one.

2016 Ford F-150 MVP EditionFord says the F-150 MVP edition was actually the idea of Ford customer and Royals fan Marc Lassalle. And it continues what has become somewhat of a tradition for the automaker: in 1985, following the Royals’ first Series victory, Ford sold an MVP edition Ranger to celebrate that team as well.

The MVP edition is based on an F-150 XLT with chrome package and is available in either the Royals’ home or away colors: Oxford White or Blue Flame.

The truck also includes MVP Edition badging, polished stainless rocker panels and a spray-in bedliner.

The truck is being built in Ford’s Kansas City Assembly Plant. Royals fans will have to act fast though as only 300 MVP F-150s are being produced.
