A course on management of public and private equipment fleets will be held November 14-15 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

John E. Dolce, fleet director with Wendel Companies in Roseland, New Jersey, is the instructor. He has more than 40 years of experience in management and operation of public and private fleets and is the author of three fleet management books.

The course is geared toward fleet managers; maintenance managers; company directors, officers and owners; and lead mechanics and technicians.

Students will learn how to measure fleet shop performance and improve it. The course will also cover shop floor management, vehicle and equipment procurement, budgeting and planning.

Participants will earn 12 professional development hours or 1.2 continuing education credits.

The course will be held in The Pyle Center, 702 Langdon Street, Madison, Wisconsin. Registration is from 7:30 to 8 a.m. November 14. Classes are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, with lunch provided.
