Two construction workers were killed in a crane accident last week on a New Jersey jobsite when a large generator fell on top of them.

According to a report from NJ.com, 25-year-old Joseph Donahue and another unidentified worker were killed while crews were installing the generator at a firehouse under construction in Hanover.

A crane was lifting the 10,000-pound generator the morning of Feb. 18 when the straps securing the load gave way, NJ.com reported.

Donahue was pronounced dead at the scene and the other man died after being transported to a nearby hospital.

It is unclear who the men worked for but NJ.com names Precision Building and Construction as the general contractor in charge of the site. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
