Fenner Dunlop Americas names new COO

Mark Hardwick has been appointed as the new COO for Fenner Dunlop Americas.

Hardwick will be based in Fenner Dunlop’s Pittsburgh headquarters beginning Jan. 17, 2011, where he will oversee the sales, marketing, customer service, technical development, and facility management of Fenner Dunlop’s full range of conveyor belting products, services, components, diagnostics, and project management in North America.

Hardwick joins Fenner Dunlop Americas with more than 30 years of sales, marketing, customer service, product and service development, and executive management experience in servicing the mining industry.

Most recently he acted as senior vice president and managing director for North America at P&H Mining Equipment Company, a division of Joy Global Inc.

Hardwick’s most significant achievement in his 22-year tenure at P&H was establishing and expanding MinePro Services, which is the distribution channel and service platform for forming a global “One Stop Shop” of complete bundled products and services for discerning mining customers in North and South America, Australia, and Asia, as well as other developing markets abroad.

After 23 years with Fenner Dunlop, Jim Gann will be retiring from his position as COO. Gann will assist Hardwick during his transition and he will continue to support Cassandra Pan, president of Fenner Dunlop Americas, with strategic projects on a part-time basis.

In Hardwick’s new role, he will report directly to Pan, while working closely with Bill Mooney, chief commercial/financial officer, and Peter Klaus, president of Fenner Dunlop South America.

“Mark’s [Hardwick] expertise and professionalism will accelerate the progress of integrating our safety, sales, service and technical development resources for building a stronger foundation for implementing innovative business solutions including life-cycle management,” Pan said in a written statement.
