COURSE OVERVIEW
This course describes the role of chemical admixtures in concrete pavements, and is specially designed for construction managers, superintendents, foremen, ready mixed concrete operations personnel, consultants, and agency personnel who use chemical admixtures or specify concrete pavements that employ admixture technology.
The course will cover the effects of chemical admixtures on pavement performance (durability, longevity, cost, etc.), as well as workability of the concrete mixture. The objective is to provide general guidance on using admixtures, as well as to provide insights into current and emerging technology.

Guest presenter Charles Nmai, Ph.D., P.E., Manager of Engineering Services within the Admixture Systems group of BASF Corp. in Cleveland, Ohio, presents an informative and interesting look at the performance features and benefits of admixtures, as well as details about new developments in this essential technology.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT HOURS
The American Concrete Pavement Association offers 1.5 professional development hours (PDH’s) for the completion of this webinar. PDH credits are awarded upon satisfactory completion of a 10-question exam administered after the webinar. Every registered engineer has a personal responsibility to assess the applicability of each element of the program attended to their particular professional development need, and, if appropriate, to maintain a record of qualifying PDH’s for license renewal documentation.
