Everybody knows the Big Three automakers based in Detroit have their share of problems. I don’t pretend to have the solution, but before the lynch mob press gang and our elected officials throw the baby out with the bathwater it’s worth noting that GM, Ford and Chrysler are not islands onto themselves, but in fact deeply intertwined with the rest of the world’s automakers.
