John Deere has introduced a new feature package for its four largest skid-steer and compact track loaders that the company says aims to make operators faster and more efficient.

The new EH Boom Performance package brings several boom and bucket functions that operators have come to expect on big loaders to Deere’s compact lineup.

The new package is available on Deere’s 330G and 332G skid steers, and its 331G and 333G CTLs. The package is comprised of the following features that Deere says can trim cycle times and automate repetitive tasks:

  1. Electronic Self-Level (ESL): Pictured above, this feature automatically keeps the bucket, pallet forks or other attachment in use level, eliminating the need for constant adjustments when raising or lowering the boom in order to prevent material spillage.
  2. Updated Joysticks: Built-in detent positions activate the following operator programmable boom and bucket functions:
    • Return to Dig: Resets bucket or attachment to a ready-to-work position
    • Return to Carry: Resets boom and bucket to an operator-designated ready-to-carry position
    • Boom Height Kickout: Allows operator to set boom height based on a low ceiling in an indoor application, or the height above a truck sidewall or hopper. Using the joystick detent, the boom will automatically stop at the preset position, reducing the chances of equipment damage.

Deere says these features allow even inexperienced operators to “take full advantage” of its compact equipment, while making life easier for veteran operators.

Deere’s large-frame G-Series loaders have a height to hinge pin of 11 feet for easy loading of dump trucks, feed mixers, fill hoppers and more. The loaders’ lift path extends 6 inches from the machine.
