Atlas Copco names MECO Miami as Florida dealer

Atlas Copco Construction has named MECO Miami as its dealer for the Pampano Beach, Florida, area.

MECO is a 43-year-old firm that sells, rents and services a variety of new and used equipment for the road construction, agriculture, cranes, heavy lifting and mining industries. It will offer a wide range of Atlas Copco equipment, including air compressors, asphalt rollers, light towers, hand held tools and soil rollers.

Southeastern Equipment names new executive vice president

Southeastern Equipment has promoted Thor Hess to executive vice president. In his new position, Hess will oversee company strategy, implement operating efficiencies across the company’s locations, manage manufacturer relationships and serve as in-house legal counsel.

Hess jointed Southeastern Equipment in 2014 as director of corporate development. Southeastern represents a variety of equipment — including Case, Kobelco and Bomag — in 18 locations throughout Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and Indiana.

Penn Equipment named 2015 top Mustang dealer

Manitou Americas has named Penn Equipment in Burnham, Pennsylvania as its 2015 Mustang Top Dealer, an award based on overall sales performance.

Dave Aumiller with Penn Equipment received the award during the company’s Next Big Thing new product introduction event, held recently in West Bend, Wisconsin.

Bobcat of Medford established in southern Oregon

Bobcat has added Bobcat of Medford to its dealer network. Located in Central Point, Oregon, Bobcat of Medford will offer new and used equipment sales, rentals, parts and service.

Bobcat of Medford was established in 2016 by Steve and April Wilson, the owners of Wilson Equipment Sales & Rentals, Central Point, Oregon. The company will distribute Bobcat equipment throughout southern Oregon and northern California.

Wilson Equipment named Terramac dealer

Wilson Equipment, located in Lexington, Kentucky, has been named the Terramac dealer in the Louisville, Lexington and eastern Kentucky markets, as well as in southern Indiana. The dealer will offer Terramac’s RT9 and RT14 straight frame crawler carriers, as well as the company’s new 360-degree rotating RT14R carrier.

With the addition of the Terramac machines, Wilson will serve a variety of industries, including oil and gas, reclamation general construction, utility, site development and governmental. The company will also offer customizable support attachments for the carriers, including cranes, drills, generators and Hydroseeders, as well as convertible dump-to-flat beds, rock dump beds and flat beds.

Modern Machinery adds Morooka Carriers

Modern Machinery, Missoula, Montana, now carries the Morooka line of rubber-tracked carriers, built by Morooka America in Hanover County, Virginia.

Modern will carry the full line of Morooka Carriers, including the new MST2200VDR, equipped with a 360-degree rotating upper structure with dump body. The company is also the exclusive dealer for Komatsu in the Pacific Northwest, employing 370 people in 11 locations.
