Construction workers unhappy with jobs

I found this interesting interactive graphic on Time magazine’s website. It measures the number of people in different occupations who said they were “very happy” with their jobs. Turns out construction workers aren’t very happy, although that’s understandable given the economy and the fact that the industry is experiencing 18 percent unemployment. Only 14.2 percent of roofers said they were very happy, 18.8 percent of construction laborers, 20.8 percent of welders and 22.1 percent of construction trades and 26.2 percent of heavy equipment mechanics. Those numbers are even worse than journalists at 35.7 percent.

The graphic is amusing, but the news should be sobering if you run a construction company.
