While ConExpo is traditionally touted as an equipment show, immediately before and after the show, Equipment World editors will be reporting live from four awards ceremonies to recognize the best and most accomplished people and fleets in the industry.

Here’s the schedule:

Sunday night, March 2

The Association of Equipment Management Professionals will announce the winners of the Equipment Technician of the Year. The Technician of the Year program acknowledges professionals who exhibit technical skills, and innovative troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities. These professionals have also made significant contributions to the equipment technician profession. To learn more about the program click here.

Monday morning, March 3

The AEMP will hand out its Fleet Masters Award which recognizes excellence in heavy equipment asset management. Fleet Masters this year will include three divisions based on company size. The Fleet Masters award recognizes equipment professionals who demonstrate excellence in meeting the unique challenges inherent to delivering cost-effective and cutting-edge management of mixed fleets of on-road and off-road equipment. Friday night, March 7

Equipment World will give one of it’s 12 Contractor of the Year finalists its 2014 Safety Award. This award goes to the Contractor of the Year finalist whose safety program demonstrates exceptionally high standards, rigorous application, creative ideas and low accident rates.

Saturday night, March 8

Equipment World will name it’s 2014 Contractor of the Year. These contractors exemplify the highest standards of construction professionals, including business acumen, equipment management, attention to safety and community involvement. This contest is limited to contractors with between $3 million and $15 million annual revenues, averaged over the past three years.
