Chicago drivers may soon experience a more pleasant commute, thanks to a new approach the city is taking toward potholes.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced Friday that the Chicago Department of Transportation will work on filling potholes seven days a week, including football playoff Sundays, ChicagoBusiness.com reports.

Emanuel noted that 22 crews were already working on pothole repairs the day of his announcement.

The Chicago DOT will have three crews working 10-hour shifts on the weekends and one crew working each night.

To keep costs down, crews will get straight pay with no overtime.
