Caterpillar completed it’s first equipment auction November 12, in Des Moines, Iowa, at the facililties of McAnnich Corporation, a local earthmoving company. Donnie Wiggins, who heads up our Top Bid auction price guide team attended and said the event was well attended with 400 to 500 people. Prices were modest, says Wiggins, not surprising given the state of the economy, with big trucks off by as much as 60 percent compared to 18 months ago. Cat’s next auction is March 26 in Minneapolis.
