Bobcat donates S185 skid steer to North Dakota zoo

Bobcat Company donated a S185 skid steer to the Red River Zoo in Fargo, North Dakota.

The machine had previously been at the zoo on loan from Bobcat of Fargo, the local Bobcat dealer, for two years.

Lisa Tate, director at the Red River Zoo, says the organization would not have been able to buy the machine without the help of Bobcat Company.

“Since we are a nonprofit organization, we have to raise all of the money that goes toward operations and capital projects,” Tate says. “On top of that, we have ongoing needs for our animals. Bobcat Company donating this machine allows us to take care of daily construction and maintenance projects. I truly don’t know what we would do without this machine.”

Bobcat and the zoo have a long-standing partnership. Beyond the donation, Bobcat has provided support through volunteer efforts, including the “Doosan Day of Caring” event held back in June.
