JCB North America buys Southern Calif. dealership

JCB North America is acquiring the business of west coast dealer JCB of Southern California (SoCal) from its owner, Yale/Chase Equipment and Service.

JCB North America is now assuming responsibility for dealership operations, including the sales and support of JCB construction equipment, to customers throughout the greater Los Angeles area and neighboring counties, a press release says.

Kurz named branch manager at Southeastern Equipment in North Canton, Ohio

Southeastern Equipment has named Chris Kurz branch manager at the company’s North Canton, Ohio location. Kurz’s responsibilities will include overseeing the sales, service, and parts teams as well as customer service.

“We are very fortunate to have Chris leading our North Canton branch,” says Charlie Patterson, president of Southeastern Equipment. “His extensive experience with the company, knowledge of the industry, and his strong relationships with clients and suppliers will prove invaluable to our continued growth.”

James River Equipment opens new location near Winchester, Va.

Over the weekend, John Deere dealer James River Equipment held the grand opening for its newest location in Virginia.

With 40 full-service locations and more than 100 service vehicles, James River provides sales, service and rentals for customers of Deere agricultural, construction and forestry equipment.

The new Winchester location is located at 245 Yardmaster Ct. in nearby Stephenson. The new facility sits on 12 acres with a 5,500 square-foot warehouse, a 4,500 sq.-ft. showroom/office and a 20,000 sq.-ft. shop. The design of the location can accommodate another 20,000 sq. ft. if needed.
