U.S. home starts tick up in July as permitted units not started hit 10-year high

Following a drop in June to the lowest rate seen in the last 12 months, U.S. home starts ticked back up in July.

The start of construction on new homes rose 0.9 percent in July to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.168 million, according to data from the Commerce Department. Total home starts remain 1.4 percent below the July 2017 rate.

Kubota improves warranty process to aid its 1,100 U.S. dealers

Kubota Tractor Corporation is investing in its procedure for processing warranty claims to benefit its network of 1,100 dealers nationwide.

To do this, Kubota is teaming up with Tavant Technologies, a digital products and solutions company. The firm uses artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to help companies improve operational efficiency, productivity, speed and accuracy.

Winkler to head dealer sales at BOMAG Americas

Jamie Winkler is the new director of sales for the dealer channel of BOMAG Americas. He’s responsible for the overall sales leadership, support and development of BOMAG’s distribution network, and also the field sales team.

Winkler brings to BOMAG nearly 30 years of industry experience and possesses a strong focus in customer support with extensive involvement in compaction, milling, and paving market segments, a press release says.

Nueces Power Equipment expands Takeuchi-U.S. dealer network in Texas

Takeuchi-US  has announced Nueces Power Equipment of Texas as a new dealer.

Based in Corpus Christi, the company will carry Takeuchi’s compact excavator and track loaders in their Houston and San Antonio locations. In addition to stocking parts, these locations will also be authorized Takeuchi equipment repair centers.
