JCB’s new Teletruk forklifts fueled by LPG to reduce emissions
JCB has expanded its Teletruk forklift lineup with two models that run on liquid propane gas for working in emission-sensitive areas.
The TLT 25 LPG and TLT 30 LPG models have lift heights of 13 feet 1 inch and forward reach of 4 feet 8 inches and are powered by 59-horsepower Tier 4 Final Kubota LPG engines. They join the Teletruk 35D, which runs on diesel fuel.

Link-Belt intros 600 X4 material handler with new design, hydraulics
Link-Belt Excavator (LBX) has introduced a new material handler for North America that the company says delivers more performance thanks to a new hydraulics package and a new design.
The 600 X4 MH is powered by a 362-horsepower, Isuzu Tier 4 Final engine that does not require a diesel particulate filter (DPF). More specs are below.
LBX says the machine is purpose-built for material handling and demolition applications and features a two-piece attachment with hose burst check valves, a straight boom and a droop-nose arm. The machine features a high-wide undercarriage, oversized turn table and larger drive motors.

Volkswagen tests U.S. waters with debut of Tarok pickup with modular bed
At the recent New York International Auto Show, Volkswagen previewed a pickup it might bring—in some form—to U.S. customers.
The compact unibody pickup was first seen at the Sao Paolo International Motor Show at the end of 2018 and is expected to enter production for the South American market in the near future.

Cat’s new 299D2 XHP Land Management CTL is built for the brush
Caterpillar has introduced a purpose-designed compact track loader for land management with high power and a ruggedized exterior.
The new 299D2 XHP Land Management compact track loader is powered by a Cat C3.8 engine delivering 110 gross horsepower. The high-flow/high-pressure auxiliary hydraulic system can power high-production, hydro-mechanical attachments like mulching heads and industrial brush cutters with 40 gallons per minute of flow at 4,061 psi.

VIDEO: Liebherr’s cab-less 7XX concept dozer offers glimpse at “construction site of the future”
At the recent Bauma trade show in Munich, Liebherr offered attendees a glimpse at future technologies during demonstrations of a remote-controlled dozer and wheel loader.
During the demonstration, an operator working in a remote-control station switched between operating the concept cab-less 7XX dozer to an adjacent operator-less Liebherr L 550 wheel loader.
“We expect standard dozers with similar teleoperation functions to be available soon,” says Alexander Katrycz, head of marketing, Liebherr-Werk Telfs GmbH. Initial applications for a remote-controlled dozer would include hazardous applications such as steep slopes.
