NCDOT’s Mansfield receives national vegetation management award

The National Roadside Vegetation Management Association (NRVMA) has presented its Turney Hernandez Award of Excellence to the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s (NCDOT) Pat Mansfield.

Mansfield is the roadside environmental engineer for the department’s Division One area, covering 14 counties in the northeastern section of the state.

NRVMA honored Mansfield for her “dedication and success in continuing to promote the ideals of vegetation management.” The Turney Hernandez Award of Excellence is the association’s highest award and aims to honor “outstanding” roadside vegetation management programs or individuals.
