Joe Weaver.Joseph Weaver, PE, has been promoted to Highway Group Manager in the Surface Transportation Division at TKDA.
Weaver is more than qualified for the job after 30 years of experience in all phases of highway engineering and project management. In his 18 years at TKDA, he has provided key engineering expertise and led the design team on numerous highway projects in Minnesota, including the Elk Run Interchange, I-35W St. Anthony Falls Bridge, and Trunk Highway 610 Continuation Project in Maple Grove.
Weaver succeeds Tim Chalupnik, who has been a leader in the Surface Transportation Division for 23 years. Chalupnik will be phasing into retirement beginning in January 2015.
“I am leaving the Highway Group in good hands with Joe as the manager,” Chalupnik said. “Joe is a true professional who combines exceptional technical expertise with outstanding client service.”
Chalupnik will continue to work for TKDA on a part-time basis as a senior engineer and advisor to the Highway Group.
“Tim has provided strong leadership, technical expertise, and mentorship,” said Kevin Cullen, PE, Vice President of the Surface Transportation Division. “He has set a high standard and will continue to be a valued resource for Joe and all of us at TKDA as we continue to provide quality service to our clients.”
