Antique trucks, ag equipment to be featured at construction equipment museum

Events to celebrate antique agricultural equipment and heavy duty trucks will be held in September at the National Construction Equipment Museum in Bowling Green, Ohio.

The Historical Construction Equipment Association will hold its 20th Annual White Bash from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. September 9 for the Classic White Truck Group, which features White, Autocar, Diamond T, Reo, Sterling and White Freightliner brands. The Power Show will follow on September 16 and 17 to exhibit antique agricultural equipment, including demonstrations of corn picking and shelling, threshing and tilling. Members of the Black Swamp Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society will display their trucks, and the museum will bring out selections from its collection. This is the second year the HCEA is sponsoring the event, which will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. September 16 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. September 17. Details: hcea.net or call 419-352-5616.

Admission to the events and the museum is free. There is no charge to exhibit, and truck owners can leave their trucks to be exhibited at both events.

The museum is at 16623 Liberty Hi Road. It is open to the public 1 to 5 p.m. weekdays. The museum recommends you notify it in advance of your visit, by emailing [email protected] or calling 419-352-5616. Admission is free for HCEA members and children 12 and under. For nonmembers, admission is $10 for adults and $7 for seniors.
