And the awards go to….Better Roads

Better Roads is up for two “Azbee” editorial awards from The American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE), the professional association for full-time and freelance editors and writers employed in the business, trade, and specialty press. ASBPE is widely known for its annual Awards of Excellence competition, which recognizes the best in editorial, design, and online achievement with Azbee awards.

Better Roads is being recognized both nationally and regionally. In the Under 80,000 circulation division, BR has won a regional award for its November 2008 “2008 U.S. Bridge Inventory” report in the Original Research category for the Midwest-South Region. The magazine will know the level of the regional award (gold, silver or bronze) when it’s announced at a July 8 awards banquet.

BR is also up for a National Azbee in the Under 80,000 division for its “The Last Word” columns in the Regular Column, Staff Written category, for the September 2008 and October 2008 columns. BR will find out whether it won a gold or silver award at the Awards of Excellence banquet held on July 16 during the ASBPE National Editorial Conference.

Better Roads’ sister magazine, Aggregates Manager, also won four regional awards for the same circulation division and region in the following categories: Regular Column, Contributed; Special Section; and two in Original Research.
