ACPA promotes Wathne to executive vice president

Leif Wathne has been promoted to executive vice president of the American Concrete Pavement Association, the group announced.

Wathne has been with the group for 10 years and most recently served as its vice president for Highways and Federal Affairs. He began his work at the association as Director of Highways in 2005.

His new role will require him to â€śThis promotion reflects the member confidence and positive results Leif has achieved during his 10 years with ACPA, including the success implementation of the Accelerated Implementation and Deployment of Pavement Technologies (AID-PT) Program,” said ACPA President and CEO Gerald Voigt.

Voigt added that Wathne “has proven himself to be an excellent communicator and leader, and this role will allow him to concentrate on developing and implementing plans and ongoing activities with our agency customers and others in the public sector.”
