AASHTO opens nominations for National Transportation Leadership Institute

TrafficjamThe American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) is seeking nominations for the 2017 National Transportation Leadership Institute scheduled for June 4-16 in Indianapolis at the Indiana Historical Society Conference Center.

The association says the program is offered by the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) School of Public and Environmental Affairs’ Executive education Program.

“Participants engage in group discussions, problem-solving and other activities to enhance management skills,” AASHTO reports. “The course includes fundamental management concepts and practices tailored to the challenges of transportation agencies, and explores advanced techniques in managing departments.”

Nominations are being accepted through May 1 online here. Thomas Decoster, former director of the IUPUI Executive Education Program, will be directing the program.
