Even if you know how an internal combustion engine works, this scale model, see- through engine is a great gift for young and old alike. Kids can learn a lot from it and older mechanics will remember similar models from the 1960s when these were hugely popular. This new model has an overhead cam and uses battery power to turn the crank, cam, pistons and valves, and light up the spark plugs. It looks like Amazon is out of stock right now but should have some back in stock on December 16. As of this writing the kit was selling for for $74.
