For the 2021 model year, Chevrolet has unveiled an updated design for its Colorado midsize pickup.

Chevy says all 2021 Colorado variants feature revised front Chevy bowtie emblems and a new tailgate design embossed with the Chevrolet word mark. Previous models had the bowtie on the tailgate.

The WT, LT and Z71 Colorado trim levels will all receive updated center bars, front skid plates and a front end design whose nose has been lowered. WT and LT will also feature new gold Chevy bowtie logos, while the Z71 gets a black bowtie logo.

To introduce the new design Chevy is showing off the ZR2 off-road variant, pictured here, which will be the only Colorado model to feature another new front-end design which has a flow-through Chevrolet word mark featured prominently on the grille.

The 2021 Colorado ZR2 also features segment-exclusive Multimatic DSSV position-sensitive dampers, standard front and rear electronic locking differentials, a 2-inch suspension lift, 3.5-inch wider track, off-road rocker protection, cast iron control arms, Autotrac transfer case, and multiple skid plates. New for 2021 are standard red tow hooks.

Chevy says the new Colorado will also have greater differentiation between trims and is also adding a new exterior paint color for the Z71 and ZR2 models called Sand Dune Metallic.

The ZR2 off-road performance variant is also getting a new look. ZR2 will be the only Colorado model to feature the all-new, lettered, flow-through “Chevrolet” front fascia. ZR2’s new front end is intended to provide drivers with improved visibility while presenting a more aggressive appearance.
