Ford’s Super Duty chassis cab lineup is seeing sizable power improvements for the 2020 model years thanks to improvements to the 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel and the new 7.3L gasser.

The new 7.3L V8 delivers both 350 horsepower and a best-in-class gas torque rating of 468 lb-ft at 3,900 rpm. Ford says this is the biggest displacement gas engine in the chassis cab class.

For those that need even more torque, the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel V8 provides 330 hp at 2,600 rpm and 825 lb-ft at just 1,600 rpm. The new torque number represents a 10-percent improvement over the previous model year.

A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard no matter what engine you choose and it is available with live drive power takeoff (PTO). Ford says the 10-bolt PTO is standard on trucks equipped with the 6.7L diesel and is capable of a best-in-class maximum 300 lb-ft of stationary torque.

These trucks also grab a best-in-class rating for maximum payload at 12,750 pounds. The new Super Duty chassis cab models are available today.
