Yanmar showcased its S220R-1 and S190R-1 skid steers at ICUEE.

The 2,200-pound rated operating load S220R-1 has a 70.7-horsepower Yanmar engine with a rated operating speed of 2,500 rpms. “One of the most important features is the Yanmar engine,” says Jake Jeffords in an interview at the company’s ICUEE booth. “We’ve been making engines since 1933 and these units have our Final Tier 4 model.”

With a 7,980-pound operating weight, the S220R-1 features an upgraded larger cab. The back towers have also been lowered for better visibility.  The model has a 3,800-pound tipping load and a 16.5-gallon fuel tank. Both the S220R-1 and the 1,900-pound rated operating capacity S190R-1 have a common control system, so operators can feel comfortable jumping from one cab to the next.

In the video below, Jake Jeffords, product marketing manager with Yanmar’s Equipment Division, goes over key features of the S220R-1.
