Worker killed by 40-foot fall onto equipment in California

A worker in California was killed last week in a fall from scaffolding.

According to a report from the Orange County Register, 29-year-old Elman Cano Cerranza was working as part of a crew building an apartment complex in Fullerton when he fell 40 feet from scaffolding the morning of August 24.

Cerranza fell on top of a piece of equipment. He was taken to the hospital where he died shortly after of his injuries.

The cause of the fall is still under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
