WIX donates $48,000 to FFA chapters

WIX Filters donated more than $48,000 to FFA chapters throughout the United States through the WIX Filters/FFA box top program. Through the program, WIX donated 25 cents per box top that participating students turned in from January to April 2009.

FFA chapters received $48,113.75 from the program, including six $1,000 bonuses given to chapters that turned in the most box tops, had the highest number of tops per member and had the highest percentage increase since the 2008 box top program.

The Spud Growers FFA in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, received the bonus for the highest number of box tops (6,348) and the Russell FFA in Russell, Kansas, received the bonus for the largest percentage increase of box tops submitted with a 270 percent increase. The four chapters that received the bonuses for the highest number of box tops per member were:

  • Shelby FFA in Shelby, Montana, with 591.5 per member
  • Plainville FFA in Plainville, Kansas, with 131.7 per member
  • Tuscola FFA in Tuscola, Illinois, with 109.5 per member
  • Pendleton FFA in Pendleton, Oregon, with 98.8 per member
