Unlike the rest of its products, Apple is building its spaceship-like Campus 2 headquarters out in the open. And though the public has been able to watch as the monstrous, circular structure takes shape, no one has been invited inside to see just exactly how it’s all coming together.

Except for Popular Science. The magazine was recently granted an all-access pass inside construction on the building and have posted a fascinating video and story. You can check out the video below.

According to the exclusive, the new campus will cost $5 billion, required 4,500 concrete slabs and 3,000 panes for 1.23 million sq. ft. of glass. The story goes into detail on how the intricate combination of curved glass walls and concrete floors and ceilings have gone up. Definitely worth a read.
