Apple campus 2 drone video

Back in July, we got our first look at construction of Apple’s new $5 billion campus. The new campus was one of the last projects former Apple CEO Steve Jobs worked on before he died in 2012 and involved turning a site that was mostly asphalt into one that would host 176 acres of trees, not to mention a 2.8 million-square-foot, state-of-the-art building with a circular glass design. The campus is expected to be completed in 2016. You can read more about how complex the project is for the contractors involved by clicking here.

Using a GoPro strapped to a DJI Phantom 2 quadcopter, YouTube uploader jmcminn shot the video below giving an incredible look at the jobsite. Since the photos of construction from July, the site has changed quite a bit. What was just a prepped site then now has foundations for the building’s circular walls. You also get a really good feel for just how huge the site is.
