VIDEO: Gaming meets real-life racing with Anki Drive
| December 20, 2013 |
If you’re looking for a last-minute holiday gift for a gamer or car enthusiast, startup company Anki may have your solution.
Released in October, Anki Drive is a game that combines a miniature race track with a video game.
Autoweek reports that the game “uses artificial-intelligence-equipped robotic cars on a rollout track that can be played with one to four players using Bluetooth and Apple’s iPhone.”
The $199 game comes with a 102-inch by 42-inch roll-out track, two hand-painted cars (Anki calls them “characters”), a charging pod, tire cleaner and a quick-start guide. Two extra characters are available for $69 each.
The game is sold at all Apple stores and online.
