Exposing a storm sewer manhole doesn’t sound like very exciting work, but when the guy in this excavator’s operator seat is doing it, it’s an art form. This crew is working on adjusting the height of the manhole for a new street. So they bring their ace operator in and he meticulously removes the fill around the manhole before removing the cover without hurting the concrete structure. “Notice how comfortable the guys in the hole are with the bucket working near them,” the video’s description notes. Who can blame them? Given how smooth this guy is, they might even let him give them a shave if there were a razor attachment.
