Bucket badly stuck and without a clue, excavator operator begins burying tracks too

Despite the suggestion of the Seussian headline, the video below has no happy ending. Though it’s good motivation to train up operators well before sending them into a jungle-like environment with soft underfoot conditions.

Bless this guy’s heart, that bucket is seriously stuck. And rather than move in a bit closer and leverage the machine’s weight better against the muck holding that bucket in place—or try anything else really—he has chosen to run the tracks and teeter the machine back and forth.

Apart from burying the tracks themselves halfway in mud, the only other thing he has probably accomplished is pushing the bucket a bit further into the ground.
