Two highway workers injured after being struck by pickup truck

Traffic in a work zoneTwo Pennsylvania construction workers were injured recently after they were struck by a pickup truck while doing road work.

ABC News affiliate WPVI reported that the two men were working along Route 1 in Delaware County when they were hit by the Ford pickup.

One of the workers had to be flown by medical helicopter to a nearby hospital, and the other refused treatment.

The two road workers were contract employees for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. They were employed by MK Enterprises, LLC of Upper Darby.

Local police were investigating the incident.
