Tognum announced plans to open a new engine assembly and manufacturing plant for the company’s MTU brand in Graniteville, South Carolina. The plant will replace the company’s Detroit assembly plant and is scheduled to begin production by the end of 2010.
Tognum invested more than $45 million in the 100-acre site, which includes a 270,000-square foot production building as well as assembly, inspection and production facilities.
