Intermat, the world’s third-largest construction equipment trade show, begins in Paris today and Equipment World is on hand providing complete coverage throughout the week.

If you’ve ever been to ConExpo in Las Vegas or are at least familiar with the size of that show and all the news that comes out of it, you’ve got a pretty good idea of what to expect from Intermat. Like ConExpo, Intermat happens every three years and attracts attendees and equipment manufacturers from all across the globe.

This year, 37 countries will be represented with 1,350 exhibitors showing off their wares. There’s more than 4 million square feet exhibition space and nearly 323,000 square feet of demonstration space where the thousands of machines present can show off their capabilities.

Just about every sector of construction is covered at the show and we’ve already got several press events with many big name manufacturers on our schedule. So start following along with the news from the show Monday morning. You can visit our Intermat news hub by clicking here.

One last thing, preparation for the show is well underway and the organizers have provided a few videos below chronicling the massive task. Most of the work is pretty mundane, but when combined with bass-heavy dubstep, the whole process comes across as much more epic. So be sure to turn up your speakers.

Plus, the third video features this guy breaking some boards like a boss:
