Steve Jackson, president of Cedar Valley Corp. in Waterloo, Iowa, has been named the 2016 chairman for the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA).
JacksonJackson takes the position following the service of Mike Lipps, vice president of operations for Duit Construction Co., for the 2015 term.
His chairmanship represents the second time in the association’s history that a father and son have served in the role. His father, Robins Jackson, was chairman in 1977.
“You can count on me, and I hope I can count on you,” Jackson said during the ACPA annual meeting. “We should always remember that we can always count on concrete.” His latter comment refers to the association’s “Count on Concrete” campaign.
Jackson said his goals while serving as chairman include increasing contractor membership and to develop additional tools and resources for state chapters and members.
