If driving an F-150 Lariat, among the most luxurious in the F-Series lineup, doesn’t do it for you, maybe driving one that’s insanely fast will.

Introduced at this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas last week, the 2016 Shelby F-150 squeezes 700 horsepower from the Super Crew’s 5-liter engine. The truck, already fully loaded, features plenty of design and performance aspects befitting of Carroll Shelby.

The Shelby F-150 joins the Shelby F-150 Raptor which was unveiled in April and also boasts 700 hp.

An open-air performance intake with high-flow filter blower keep the engine breathing. Of course, it’s powder coated in Ford Racing Blue.

The pickup also gets an oversized carbon fiber air intake tube, performance aluminum heat exchanger, upgraded billet throttle body, upgraded high performance exhaust, black ceramic dual exhaust tips, dual intake Ram Air Shelby Super Snake hood and front fender vents for increased engine cooling.

A Shelby-engineered FOX shock system, including Raptor-style FOX shocks on all four wheels and 2.5-inch aluminum reservoir shocks on the front and rear, help round out high performance handling.

With programming, this versatile powerhouse can cut it as a highway cruiser, an off-road bruiser or a force to reckon with at the race track.

Obviously, performance is what makes this truck a Shelby, but its exterior is equally important. Four BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO2 35/12.50R18 are wrapped around the truck’s 18-inch Shelby engraved alloy wheels.

Shelby step bars are powder coated black. Full-body rally stripes and other badging common on all other Shelby vehicles, inside and out, make it clear that this is a true head-turner that quickly commands respect.
