Seattle launches Construction Coordination Web site

|  April 01, 2009 |

The city of Seattle, Washington has taken a proactive step by launching a Web site to alert the public to new construction projects that may impact road traffic and sidewalks. The site gives viewers GIS based maps, layered detour routes with freight and bicycle options and a link to a site showing real time congestion information.

Smart PR like this will go a long way in making the public more receptive to construction in general.
