Takeuchi names Salesman of the Year, Top Volume dealer and adds dealer

Jimi Martin of Perimeter Takeuchi in Buford, Georgia, has been named Takeuchi’s Salesman of the Year. Ranking number one in retail sales, 2014 marks the second consecutive year Martin has received the award.

Folcomer Equipment, a full-service dealer with five locations in Aberdeen, Baltimore, Frederick and Upper Marlboro, Maryland, as well as Greenwood, Delaware, was named the 2014 Top Volume Dealer of the Year.

Takeuchi has also added Rob’s Hydraulics to the company’s dealer network. Located in Grimesland, North Carolina, Rob’s Hydraulics will serve Eastern North Carolina and carry the full line of Takeuchi compact earthmoving equipment including compact excavators, compact track loaders, compact wheel loaders and skid steers.

Atlas Copco adds two Southern California dealers

Atlas Copco has added two dealers in Southern California that will offer the company’s road construction equipment line.

San Diego-based Clairemont Equipment will offer Dynapac pavers and asphalt and soil rollers at its Escondido, Imperial and San Diego locations, as well as supplying Atlas Copco air compressors, concrete tools, generators, light towers, milling equipment and pumps.

Scott Equipment will sell compaction and paving rollers at their location in Fontana.

Nortrax names two veterans as general managers

Nortrax, a John Deere dealer with construction and forestry locations throughout the United States and Canada, has named two new general managers.

Mike Sullivan, the new general manager at Nortrax’s Westbrook, Maine, store, is a United States Navy veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry.

Rod Stallard, a 20-year veteran of the United States Army, has been named general manager of Nortrax’s Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, store. Stallard has 11 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry and previously served as service manager and regional product support manager for Nortrax.

SDLG adds six dealers

Six new dealers have joined SDLG’s dealer network, bringing the total to 23 dealers at 40 locations selling and servicing the company’s North American lineup of four wheel loaders.

The six new dealers are:

  • Malvese Equipment is based in Riverhead, New York, and will offer SDLG at locations in Hicksville and Riverhead New York.
  • Nuss Truck & Equipment is based in Rochester, Minnesota, and will offer SDLG at its location in Rochester, Minnesota.
  • Hugg & Hall Construction & Industrial Equipment is based in Little Rock, Arkansas, and will offer SDLG at its location in Little Rock, Arkansas.
  • Highway Equipment Company is based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and will offer SDLG at its location in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
  • Alta Equipment Company is based in Peotone, Illinois, and will offer SDLG at locations in New Hudson, Michigan.
  • Penn Jersey Machinery is based in Lionville, Pennsylvania, and will offer SDLG at its location in Lionville, Pennsylvania.

Curry Supply adds bilingual account manager

Curry Supply Company, a manufacturer and dealer of commercial service vehicles that include mechanics, service, vacuum, winch and dump trucks as well as lube skids, has named Chris Wilson the company’s National Accounts Manager.

Wilson, who is fluent in Spanish, will be responsible for developing customer relationships and generating sales for the entire commercial service vehicle line.

Before joining Curry Supply, Wilson managed a portfolio of companies for Uni International.

Line-X partners with Keystone Automotive Operations

All North American Line-X franchises will have dedicated customer support, following a mutually exclusive partnership with Keystone Automotive Operations.

As the exclusive accessories distributor of Line-X, Keystone will supply the company’s aftermarket product line, Truck Gear by Line-X.

The partnership will include a broad distribution network to more than 450 Line-X franchise, greater availability of Keystone branded accessories and the potential for a greater variety of Truck Gear products and accessories in the future.

Hoffman Equipment joins Liebherr dealer network

Piscataway, New Jersey-based Hoffman Equipment has joined Liebherr Construction Equipment’s dealer network, and will offer the full line of earthmoving and material handling equipment to New Jersey, New York and Delaware from their locations in the Bronx, Marlboro and Medford.

Established as a trucking company more than 93 years ago, Hoffman is now a specialized heavy-haul and rigging company.

Rik Kiddle joins Terex Finlay as global business development and sales director

Terex Finlay has named Rik Kiddle as their global business development and sales director. Kiddle will be responsible for driving business growth and increasing market share, as well as identifying and developing new global market opportunities.

Kiddle will lead Terex Finlay’s sales, marketing and distribution development teams and be involved in new product development, as well as working with the company’s aftermarket and engineering departments.

Kiddle previously worked with JCB, where he promoted the company’s Teletruk.

JCB adds Utah, Tennessee dealers

Peak JCB, an new JCB dealer in West Valley City, Utah, will offer a range of equipment including backhoe, track and wheel loaders, rough terrain forklifts, compactors, hydraulic excavators and skid steers.

Founded as Thermo King Intermountain in 1944, Peak JCB also offers financing and servicing.

JCB also welcomed Briggs Equipment to the company’s dealer network. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Briggs has opened a new JCB dealership in Memphis, Tennessee. Briggs Equipment is a full line materials handling and construction equipment distributor, offering new and used equipment, long and short term rentals, parts and repair and fleet management solutions.

Founded in 1904 as Briggs-Weaver Machinery, the company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sammons Enterprises, one of the largest privately held companies in the United States, with assets valued at $70.5 billion.

Palfinger names new general manager

Palfinger American Roll-Off has named Danny Anthony as the company’s general manager. Reporting to Michael Berger, managing director of the Palfinger North American Group, Anthony will assume responsibility for the entire PARO operation.

Anthony previously served as vice president of operations for PARO.

Manitou Americas adds East Coast dealer

Manitou Americas has added Modern Equipment and Supply to the company’s dealer network.

Representing the Mustang line of compact excavation equipment, Modern Equipment and Supply will provide the entire line of Manitou rough terrain telescopic handler products and Gehl wheel loaders to the Easter Pennsylvania and New Jersey territories.

Trimble adds SITECH dealer in North and South Dakota

Trimble has established a SITECH technology dealer that will serve the majority of North and South Dakota, as well as Clay County, Minnesota.

The dealer will represent Trimble and Caterpillar machine control systems and Trimble’s portfolio of Connected Site Solutions.

Kobelco adds Seattle area dealer

Orion Equipment has joined Kobelco’s dealer network, and will represent the full line of excavators, covering the Puget Sound and Olympic Peninsula region of Washington State.

In operation for more than 30 years, Orion Equipment offers rental and sales, as well as full service maintenance and parts.

AlturnaMats, Checkers Industrial Safety Products form partnership

AlturnaMats, a manufacturer of ground protection mats for the construction, utilities and landscaping markets, has partnered with Checkers Industrial Products, a manufacturer and distributor of safety products that include cable management systems, lights and ground protection.

The combined product offering includes matting, cribbing and outrigger pads, and allows Checkers to grow their ground protection division.

AlturnaMats will continue to operate out of the company’s current facility in Titusville, Pennsylvania, as a satellite office of Checkers.
