However, sometimes there are things that hinder us from working in certain fields.
As our sister site Total Landscape Care points out , pain can be a huge factor to consider if you’re considering a job involving manual labor.
If you suffer from chronic pain, a career in road construction could be tough for you.
Total Landscape Care reports that jobs in construction, trucking and landscaping are among a Health.com list  of bad careers for chronic-pain sufferers.
Also on included in the list are manufacturing, elementary school teacher, health care, retail, food industry and auto mechanic jobs.
But there is a bright side. If you suffer from chronic pain but want to join the roadbuilding workforce anyway, there are things you can do to minimize your pain.
Total Landscape Care notes that simply taking care of yourself can help. According to Total Landscape Care, you should “take breaks, limit physical activities, avoid over-exhaustion and remember you aren’t as young as you once were (it’s a realization we all have to come to).”
And, of course, you should talk to your doctor about any concerns you have and about how to manage your pain.
