RexCon’s new headquarters uses 50 million pounds of concrete

RexCon’s new headquarters in Burlington, Wisconsin, boasts more than 50 million pounds of concrete throughout the facility. The new facility will function as the company’s world headquarters, manufacturing and assembly plant, service center and training facility. Rexcon manufactures a full line of central and transit mix batch plants.

The 130,000-square foot facility is made entirely out of concrete. Each 50-foot wall weighs 70,000 pounds and each of the facility’s 14 columns weighs 42,000 pounds.

RexCon says the company made efforts to reduce energy costs and improve air quality in the new facility with minimal artificial lighting and air supplies placed every 50 feet.
