Coming to America? SDLG’s LG920Diesel Progress magazine reported today that SDLG wheel loaders will be introduced in North America later this year.
SDLG, a Volvo Construction Equipment brand sold primarily in China and Russia, will be distributed by Volvo dealerships here, reports the magazine.
In responding to requests for further information, Volvo stated: “Since Volvo CE acquired more than 70 percent of SDLG in 2007, our approach has always been that we will introduce the product in export markets where it makes sense. SDLG is currently present in many export markets outside of China including Latin America, Asian countries, Africa, Australia and Russia. At the current time we are not in a position to outline future plans for the product in other markets.”
The Deutz-powered wheel loaders are expected to be launched this fall. According to SDLG’s website, the company currently offers seven wheel loader models, from what the company terms the 1-ton LG916 to the 7-ton LG978.
