Responding to customer requests for the feature, Kenworth has introduced remote, keyless entry on its T680 and T880 trucks.
The option, which can be retrofitted through a kit available at Kenworth dealers, provides two key fobs for locking and unlocking the truck’s doors.

Like most conventional key fobs, a single click on the unlock button unlocks the driver’s side door, while two clicks unlock both cab doors. A single click of the lock button locks all doors.
Kenworth has also included a third button which allows operators to enable and disable the pre-trip light check without hopping in the cab.
The T880 was named the American Truck Dealers’ Commercial Truck of the Year in January, receiving praise for both its interior and exterior design as well as its handling.
