Randall Reilly names Killgore, Tidwell to new roles

TUSCALOOSA, ALA. (May 2006) – With growth comes change and the need for leaders to take on new responsibilities. Terry Killgore, long-time vice president and group publisher of Randall-Reilly Publishing’s Construction Media Group, has been named to the newly created position of general manager, corporate sales.

Initially focusing on sales growth for Randall-Reilly’s Northbrook custom publishing division, Killgore will direct sales efforts for custom publications produced for Peterbilt, Kenworth, Caterpillar, Sherwin-Williams and BP Castrol. In addition, because of his extensive construction industry knowledge, he will work closely with the Caterpillar dealer network to maximize the value of their magazines.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to impact Randall-Reilly’s growth in my new role,” Killgore says. “Moving away from a group of people I’ve worked with for so long is tough, but leaving them in such good hands made it easier,”

Killgore refers to Dan Tidwell, publisher of Equipment World magazine. With Killgore’s move, Tidwell has been named vice president of the Construction Media Group and will continue as Equipment World publisher. Tidwell has been with the company since 1989, the year Equipment World was launched. Beginning in advertising space sales he quickly distinguished himself as a top salesman and was named associate publisher in 1998.Two years later he became publisher and has led Equipment World through the very recessive times after September 11th to the record sales levels enjoyed today.

In his new role, Tidwell will focus on new business opportunities within the construction market. “We’re looking at strategic ways to expand our market presence and will have an exciting announcement later this year.” Tidwell says. “I look forward to working with our associates to bring these new initiatives to fruition.”

“Leaders like Dan and Terry make growth and initiative decisions much easier to make,” says Mike Reilly, Randall-Reilly President and CEO.
