Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has issued two separate recalls for some of its Ram trucks.

The latest recall concerns front halfshafts on 2016 Ram 1500 pickups which may have been incorrectly manufactured and may fracture as a result. Affected pickups were manufactured between Feb. 19, 2016 and March 3, 2016.

FCA warns that a fractured halfshaft may damage underbody components and create road debris, increasing the risk of a crash. FCA’s number for this recall is S32. A recall schedule has not yet been provided. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration campaign number for this recall is 16V301000.

FCA is recalling aftermarket Mopar canvas seat covers for certain 2012-2016 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks.

These Mopar seat covers, which can impede the deployment of the seat thorax airbags, were sold through FCA dealerships beginning on Oct. 15, 2015.

If the seat cover prevents air bag deployment, the seat thorax air bags may not provide adequate protection in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of an injury. FCA’s number for this recall, which is expected to begin June 30, is S30. NHTSA’s campaign number for this recall is 16E041000.

Owners affected by either recall may contact FCA at 1-800-853-1403, or NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or visit www.safercar.gov.
