Roller screed ready for paving
The WRS SuperScreed from Multiquip can do a variety of jobs, from paving applications to airport runways to bridge decks. The self-propelled roller screed has a sectional truss frame and several strike tube lengths that give it the ability to strike off panels ranging in size from 12 to 50 feet. The unit’s flexibility can be used on highway off-ramps or anywhere curved or tapered roadways make strike off difficult. Powered by either a 20-horsepower gasoline or 28-horsepower Vanguard diesel engine, the screed has a wrap-around steel frame with convenient lifting points.

20 curb styles at the ready
For use in both residential and commercial applications, Tygar Manufacturing’s Bengal TG1000 curb machine has more than 20 curb styles. The unit also has a 24-inch walkway mold and more than 30 different stamp patterns, all which can be quickly interchanged. Accepting up to 3/8-inch aggregate, the machine weighs 185 pounds and makes vertical and lateral steering adjustments to match grades.

Pour a radius as tight as 24 inches
The LeeBoy LBC-24W compact concrete curber offers a maneuverable, speedy machine in an economical package. The curber can pour a radius as tight as 24 inches, eliminating most hand forming. Applications include slipform curb and gutter, alley ribbons and sidewalks up to 4 feet wide. The unit can also perform below-grade pours for street rehabilitation work. Powered by a 44-horsepower diesel, the unit offers operators fingertip control of all curbing functions from its front and rear control panels. The auto restart function gives you clean starts and stops.

Lightweight cut-off saw cuts to 53/4 inches deep
Diamond Product’s lightweight, industrial SpediCut cut-off saw has a 16-inch maximum blade capacity. The multipurpose saw is used for smooth, square cutting through a wide range of building materials. The unit has a 6.2-horsepower motor, maximum cutting depth of 5 3/4 inches and a weight of 23.4 pounds.

Chain saws get additional guide bar lengths
Two guide bar lengths have been added to two gas-powered concrete cutting chain saws from ICS Blount. The Redzaw RX60, which is available as a saw package with a 9-inch guide bar, now has an optional 12-inch guide bar and associated diamond chains. The ICS 613GC has either a 12-inch or 14-inch guide bar with associated chains. The new guide bars are interchangeable with previous bars.

Pump concrete cure directly from container to tank
E-Z Drill’s Cure Sprayer Trailer can handle a wide variety of concrete cures. The 2,000-pound-axle trailer includes fork tubes and 40 feet of 1/2-inch sprayer hose. The self-loading Roper pump, powered by a 5-horsepower Honda engine, pumps the cure directly from a container or barrel into the trailer’s 100-gallon tank.

Trowels are smooth operators
Stone Construction Equipment has a full line of Smooth Operator power trowels available in 24-, 36-, 46- and 48-inch diameters. The trowels have a cast iron spider, rotating stabilizing ring and infinitely variable blade adjustments. The Dyna-Clutch system, which stops blade rotation without shutting off the engine, is also standard. The units have a shock-mounted ring guard to reduce vibration and chatter.

Production capacities boosted to more than 200 tons per hour
The Terex|CMI MTP4004B concrete material transfer/placer from Terex Roadbuilding features a 4.75-cubic-yard receiving hopper and high capacity transfer conveyor that boost production capacities to more than 200 tons per hour. The transfer/placer’s 300 feet per minute operating speed allows for a continuous flow of trucks to the machine. The unit has four-wheel steering for a tight turning radius and can be moved without disassembly, reducing transport time. Hopper self-tension, banjo-string retention cables and heavy-duty polyurethane flashing absorb the shock of delivery trucks and spring back to their original position.
