The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has a new online map for drivers in the state to get up-to-date information about road and bridge projects across the state.

PennDOT revealed the new interactive map, which details the projects and other improvements in the works on state highways as a result of the state’s transportation financing bill, Act 89, on August 24.

“Part of ensuring that PennDOT works for our customers is making sure they can find information on our investments in their communities,” PennDOT Secretary Leslie S. Richards said. “This website shows the magnitude of the amount and value of current work and well into the future.”

The new website for the map, available here, gives drivers in the state a look at the construction projects underway or set for bid, projects that have already been completed, underway or planned due to Act 89 as well as projects scheduled through 2026.

The map can be broken down into categories based on counties or PennDOT districts, among others. Visitors to the site can also look at projects on the interstate.

Sen. John Wozniak said the project is a great resource for citizens of the state and shows the work Act 89 is accomplishing.

“The PennDOT projects page is a new and unique way of understanding all of the road and bridge projects that are now – or will be – under construction. The page provides a description of the projects and where work will be done,” Wozniak said. “Act 89 generates $2.4 billion dollars to complete needed projects throughout Pennsylvania. There are many road and bridge projects in my district that will be finished because key investments in transportation are being made.”
